1 .IDENTIFY THE SOURCE OF THE HABIT:
The word habit is from the word HABITAT. Identify its environment. Who are the people you meet that cause you to do that habit? Where are the places you go that trigger the habit? What do you hear, see , read that trigger that negative habit? Identify the root? Some habits could be genetic and so generat
ional. In this case, you handle this spiritually through prayers. Others may be demonic or curses or covenants made. Still others are just plain natural and have their source from normal sources.
2. ISOLATE IT.
Start seeking ways to cut off friends, throw away books, movies and DVDS. If it is pornography, use a Nokia 3310(lol) instead of a BB or phone that browses. Deliberately avoid going to places.
3.IDENTIFY A REPLACEMENT.
Freedom is a mirage. No one is really free. You are a slave to something or someone. You are a slave to an evil deity or A Holy deity. Either way you are under some form of bondage or yoke.
Replace that habit with another habit. If it is smoking, why not try replacing it with carrots or chewing gum or groundnuts? Every time you have the urge to smoke, introduce carrots or chewing gum into your system. Do it for 21 days. It takes 21 days to form or break a habit. If you fail at any point, start the 21 days again from the day you failed. A point will come when the feeling of smoking will become the feeling to chew gum or carrot. The mind will be conditioned. This requires a lot of determination. You first deliberately form your habits and then your habits form you.
Great men have great habits. What habit you develop today? What habit must you break today?
